A Day at Horses Connect: Where Teams Begin to Breathe Again
You’ve booked your team’s Equine Assisted Learning session. It’s the first step toward something deeper — not just a “break from the office,” but a return to clarity, trust, and connection.
So, what does a typical day look like here?
☀️ 9:30 AM — Arrival and Exhale
As your team pulls into our quiet space just outside Galway, you can already feel it: the tension softening. No fluorescent lights, no inboxes — just the open sky, fresh air, and the gentle presence of horses waiting nearby.
You’re welcomed with tea, coffee, and warm smiles. No name tags. No awkward icebreakers. Just space to arrive, breathe, and be human for a moment.
🧭 10:00 AM — Setting the Intention
We gather in a circle. Your facilitator introduces the day, the horses, and the why behind Equine Assisted Learning. No previous horse experience needed — only openness.
The group reflects on the challenges you’re facing: burnout, miscommunication, emotional fatigue, disconnection. These aren’t abstract “team issues” — they’re very real. And today, you’re here to meet them differently.
🐴 10:30 AM — Meeting the Horses
You’re introduced to the real stars of the day — our four-legged facilitators. Like Realtog, our wise old pony who doesn’t care about your job title, but will quietly notice how you show up. Or maybe Richie, the playful Connemara, whose curiosity invites laughter before you say a single word.
There’s no pressure to “perform.” You’re not expected to know anything. You just meet — human to horse. And something shifts.
🌀 11:00 AM — First Experiential Activity
Your team is invited into a task — simple on the surface, but rich in meaning. Maybe it’s guiding a horse through an obstacle without speaking. Maybe it’s moving as a group with one horse… and one goal.
Suddenly, the familiar dynamics surface: the overthinker, the overtalker, the one who holds back. You feel it. The horse feels it. And you all begin to see each other differently.
We pause. Reflect. What happened? What worked? What didn’t? How does this mirror your daily work? The conversation is honest — and surprisingly kind.
🧠 12:30 PM — Integration and Insight
Back to the circle. Maybe someone shares: “I realized I haven’t truly listened to anyone in weeks.” Another says, “I didn’t know I lead from anxiety until the horse showed me.”
This is where real learning happens. Not in a PowerPoint. Not in theory. In your body, your breath, your awareness — with a horse as your guide.
🍲 1:00 PM — Lunch Break
A relaxed, nourishing lunch gives time to decompress. The conversation is lighter now. Walls are down. People laugh — not the nervous kind, but the real kind. You see your team… as humans again.
🔄 2:00 PM — Second Round: Deeper, Bolder
The afternoon brings a new challenge. It might require more collaboration, more emotional presence, or simply more silence. You begin to notice how small shifts in posture, tone, or mindset change everything.
The horses continue to reflect your team back to itself — patiently, honestly, without judgment. You find new ways to support one another. You move as a team, not just a group of individuals in survival mode.
💬 3:30 PM — Group Debrief and Closing Circle
The final circle is often the most powerful. Someone says: “This felt more real than anything we’ve done in months.”
Another says: “I’m going to lead my next meeting differently — with presence.”
And another just exhales: “I didn’t realize how tired I was… until today gave me space to feel it.”
We close the day with gratitude — for each other, for the horses, and for what’s possible from here.
