Be More Horse

Pause. Respond. Be More Horse.

Simple resources for personal development and mental wellbeing, inspired by horses.

Mental Fitness, One Moment at a Time

If you found us through UBFIT magazine, welcome. We’re glad you’re here.

We spend time strengthening our bodies because we know physical fitness matters. Mental fitness deserves the same care and attention.

At Horses Connect, we create opportunities for people to pause, pay attention and notice what happens in the presence of horses. Our role is to facilitate those experiences carefully, respectfully and without interpretation.

Horses respond to what is happening in the present moment—not to our achievements, status, appearance or the stories we tell about ourselves. Around horses, we may find opportunities to pause, notice and respond rather than react.

Inspired by this, we’ve created a growing collection of short reflective resources for personal development and everyday mental wellbeing. Each offers an invitation to pause, notice and choose what comes next.

Choose whichever resource feels useful today.

Who We Are

Horses Connect is a Galway-based social enterprise and accredited training provider. Since 2014, we have created carefully facilitated, horse-centred experiences that support mental wellbeing, personal development, learning and connection.

Our experienced, qualified and insured facilitators design and deliver participant-led equine-assisted programmes for individuals and groups. We also provide accredited training for people who wish to develop as equine-assisted coaches.

Our work takes place at our private, dedicated facility in Bushypark, Galway, and visits are by prior arrangement. Whether you are curious about spending time with horses or interested in professional training, we would be delighted to hear from you.
